Let Me Tell You About CrossFit…
At CrossFit Royston you’ll become part of our fitness family where we help encourage and motivate you as you prepare to deal with life’s challenges (even if this is staying awake at work or dealing with the kids all day).
CrossFit’s unique ten-point strength and conditioning programmes are designed to work the whole body physically and mentally, this will help reduce weight, strengthen and tone your body while sharpening your mind too!
CrossFit exercise is all about functional movements, it has been described as “Gymnastics meets Olympic lifting”.
CrossFit is really a lifestyle for those that want to become better humans. Here at Royston we see CrossFit like a team sport and the encouragement from everyone in your session will push you to smash your fitness goals.
The CrossFit community is an international one so even when you go on holiday there will be a box nearby.

Opening times
Our box is open seven days a week.
Adult coached group classes are available:
Monday to Thursday: 1030am, 5pm, 6pm and 8pm
Tuesday and Thursday: 6am
Friday: 1030am, 5pm and 6pm
Saturday: 9am
Teen coached group classes are available:
Monday and Wednesday 4:15pm
A Full Crossfit membership allows you to access all the classes, use of the open box outside of the time and to all our other timetabled sessions.

Our teens sessions are for 12-16 year olds
Coach led fitness solutions for teenagers looking to improve fitness, health and wellbeing via a combination of gymnastics, weight lifting and cardiovascular conditioning.
We focus on mechanics, consistency and intensity at the most critical time of a child’s physical development.
Each session is 45 minutes and consists of:
Warm up
A skill or strength element
High Intensity workout
Cool down
Monday and Wednesday 4-445pm
Fridays 4-445pm Open box
£5 PAYG

CrossFit Kids
We are fully inclusive and welcome kids from age 4 to 11
Empower the next generation – become your own superhero!
Functional movements and Fun! What does this mean?
For kids, these functional movements involve exercises that are fundamental to all things that kids need to do when they play: pull, push, run, throw, climb, lift and jump.
All of the movements are taught safely and effectively under the close supervision of our Certified Kids Trainers.
Saturday mornings – age 4-7 from 1015-1045 and ages 8-11 11-1130 £5 PAYG

CrossFit Classes
Whether you need early morning, late evening or anything in between we are here to help you achieve your fitness goals.
Open 7 days a week with a range of class times across the day.
A typical class looks like this…
Warm up
Technique/Strength Work
Introduction and completion for the ‘Workout of the Day’ (WOD)
Cool down
You can book two weeks in advance making planning easy

Our Foundation Class
If you are a CrossFitter already, speak to one of the team and we can assess if the Foundation Class is required based on what past experience you have with lifting.
Learn the skills and techniques required to get the most of out the classes in a specially designed foundation class.
During the two hour foundation class you will learn all the techniques needed to take part confidently in the CrossFit sessions.

Spaces are limited so you get the full attention of our fully qualified coaches and by the end you will know all the CrossFit lingo!
Once you have completed the Foundation Class you can start to book onto the regular CrossFit classes.
If you are a CrossFitter already, speak to one of the team and we can assess if the Foundation Class is required based on what past experience you have with lifting.

NEW TO CROSSFIT?
We’re here to welcome you to a free taster session to experience a coached class at CrossFit Royston. Simply email the team at info@crossfitroyston.com
Come ready to exercise, bring a sweat towel and a bottle of water.
The class is one hour long, and we’ll make sure you work within your current abilities.
The session starts with an explanation and demonstration of the session. From there you will carry out a specific warm up relevant to the exercises you will be doing in that session. Generally. The session would then focus on learning or revisiting a strength or skill. Followed by a high intensity WOD (workout of the day).
After the session we’ll guide you through the joining process.

‘I have been involved in fitness all my life, starting with an active outdoor and sporty lifestyle in Australia. I joined the Aus Army at 17 where my love of functional and mental fitness started and since evolved. I absolutely love being a small part of everyone’s fitness journey’.

‘I have been doing CrossFit for over 4 years and have begun my coaching journey, which I am passionate about, with CrossFit Royston. My goals within CrossFit are to compete in individual and team competitions. Outside of the gym I enjoy road cycling and judo’.

‘After working for 7 years in private musculoskeletal clinics I decided I wanted to continue pushing people after their injury. I have lots of experience in injury and rehabilitation training with a passion for CrossFit, power lifting and obstacle course racing. Wherever you are on your journey progress can always be made’.
Our Venue

The Box
The box is where all the CrossFit sessions take place. It has all the equipment needed to ensure your workout is fully optimised to your level.

The Gym
The gym has a full range of machines and free weights that are available for cardio and strength training in addition to CrossFit. As part of your monthly CrossFit Royston membership you have inclusive access to the gym.

Therapy
Sometimes when you undertake intensive training your body may need some attention. At CrossFit Royston, we have a number of treatment rooms with specialists who can help – including Physiotherapy, Sports Massage, and Chiropractic.

Facilities
CrossFit Royston is situated at The Health Sports Centre.
There is ample free parking, changing rooms with lockers and the best outdoor space, which when the weather permits is used for classes.
